BioMat Sciences was founded as a spin off from the founder's Laboratory for Biomaterials Science at McGill University in Montreal. Together, with colleagues at the Surface Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Montreal, and Engineering Physics at the Ecole Polytechnique, the BioMaterials Interfaces Group was formed. The work done by the group produced leading edge discoveries in the area of mineralized tissue interfaces with polymers.
It was the this work that underpinned the formation of BioMat Sciences. With the discovery of a novel molecule, BioMat Sciences was formed to develop and commercialize that molecule into a significant and robust adhesive system, which we named Primagen. Primagen will change the way you practice restorative dentistry.
